Laundry of Love

HANDS ON OPPORTUNITES:

  • Participate in Laundry Love every third Thursday of the month at Busy Bee Laundromat in the Target Shopping Center, 2940

Feeding God’s People

“Feeding Gods People involves a ministry by which we plan, prepare and serve an evening meal for members of our community who are in need.  Men, women and children are welcome and we usually serve between 40 and 60 guests.  We do this once every other month.  Members of our congregation volunteer to help with everything from menu planning to clean up.  For more information call Beverly Cardwell at 714-996-8445

Help host “Feeding God’s People” at Placentia Presbyterian Church the second Thursday of every other month. (Next event January 11, 2018 at 3:00pm.)

Help refurbish our adopted rooms at H.I.S. House. (A local homeless and intervention shelter house.)

ONGOING INGATHERINGS

Save Campbell Soup Labels and fronts of Greeting Cards for St. Jude’s Ranch for Children, Boulder City, Nevada.

Save your cancelled postage stamps from your mail for the Sisters at the Community of St. Mary in Peekskill, New York.

Donate your gently used clothing and other small household items to Charity’s Closet, an all-volunteer run Thrift Shop to benefit H.I.S. House. Bring a can of food each Sunday. Donate new white socks and underwear.

Please take a  shoebox,  available from the Church office or at the back of the church and fill with a “wow” toy such as a doll, soccer ball with pump; or a stuffed animal plus other fun toys, hygiene items, and school supplies.  Instructions on how to prepare your box and what not to include are provided with your box. Please return your filled box to church anytime during  October. Gift boxes are delivered to children in need all over the world.
